Roy H. Lasris

Roy H. Lasris is the senior partner of the firm. He received his under-graduate degree (BBA, magna cum laude) from Stetson University in 1974 and his Juris Doctorate (cum laude) from the University of Florida in 1977. He began his legal career in the Judge Advocate General’s Corps, serving at Fort Eustis.

He is presently a member of the Virginia State Bar, the Florida Bar, and member and Past President of the York/Poquoson Bar Association. Roy is also an active participant in his synagogue (serving as President from 1992-1994) and is a past-President of the United Jewish Community of the Virginia Peninsula (1998-2002).

Roy concentrates his law practice in the fields of family law and consumer bankruptcy legal matters.

Roy and his wife Betty reside in the Seaford township of York County. Their eldest and youngest children, David and Ethan, live in Newport News. Their middle son Michael lives ‘on-stage’ in Ft. Collins, Colorado.

John P. Walsh

John Patrick Walsh received his J.D. from Brooklyn Law School in Brooklyn, New York. He is currently a Major and Aviator serving in the United States Army Reserves, where he is qualified to pilot several army helicopters including the Black Hawk. John joined the firm in 2006 after having practiced law in New York since becoming a member of that bar in 1999.

He is presently a member of the Virginia, New York and Connecticut State Bar Associations. He is a past president of the local York/Poquoson Bar Association.

John’s areas of specialty are in the fields of family law, personal injury, criminal law and traffic law matters.

John and his wife Lorraine, and their three children reside in Gloucester County.

Teri A. Curry

Teri A. Curry received her J.D. from Mitchell Hamline School of Law (formerly William Mitchell College of Law) in St. Paul, Minnesota, and joined the Minnesota State Bar in August of 2000. She traveled southwest and became a member of the Arizona State Bar in June of 2003 where she focused primarily in criminal defense matters, including service with the Public Defenders office of Cochise County, Arizona.

Since joining Denbigh Law Center in 2010, Teri has concentrated her practice in domestic relations and other family law matters, and criminal defense (state and federal courts).

She is a member of the Virginia State Bar and the York County Bar Association.

Teri and her three youngest children reside in Henrico County. (Yes, she travels ‘all that way’ just to be with us!) Her eldest child lives and works in Minnesota.
